"The band will tour worldwide in support of the Greatest Hits album" was the message on the Greatest Hits CD release news. As yet, no sign of world tour - just the same pattern of tour/break/tour/break/HOB each year although this time with the cancelling of the Australia shows. and with those solo dates i'm guessing they'll be doing stuff with that or sticking around the US/Canada again.
Why are Social D so shit at touring outside of the US/Canada??
it's not like noone would go and see them. Agent Orange managed 9 shows last year, Adolescents came over, US Bombs are coming over blah etc blah etc. So yeah, any ideas why they don't and never really have made an effort outside of the US/Canada?
feel free to bite my head off for moaning too

you could always write a letter to the management and request it:

Maybe they just like being closer to home. The family, and kids will do that to you.

What is endearing and sometimes frustrating about Mike Ness is that he does things his own way. You would think we would want to tour more places, release more albums, market the band more etc but he doesn't and at this point of his career it seems to have worked out fine. Even living in California I find the tours frustrating because Social D doesn't follow the natural tour routes of other bands, playing a lot of shows in out of the way places. He seems to play where he wants to go, and I bet a lot of musicans wouldn't mind trading places with him at this point in his career.

Well, there were plans to hit Australia, but those fell through.
